Laney Combs, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is our Nurse Practitioner assisting Dr. Shadid. Her hometown is Edmond, OK, and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice and certified family nurse practitioner in 2019 from Oklahoma City University. With five years of experience as a nurse practitioner and a background as a hospitalist, Laney brings a wealth of knowledge and care to her patients. Her favorite part of the job is when patients share that they’ve never felt so heard, relaxed, and involved in their primary care experience.
Laney pursued a career in medicine to provide a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where patients can openly discuss their medical concerns. At home, she’s married to Kyle, an ICU RN, and they have two children and three dachshunds. Between work and family life, Laney admits she doesn’t have much time for hobbies, but here’s a fun fact: she’s a certified life coach!
